Fox Hollow Golf Club Banquet Room 10050 Robert Trent Jones Parkway, Trinity, FL 34655
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: This dinner presentation was developed by medical professionals at three different clinics, one of whom is now with Moffitt Cancer Center. The program evolved from research that aimed to clarify why patients, whose lung cancer deaths could have been prevented from early detection, were not getting screened. The presentation discusses current guidelines, benefits and concerns with lung cancer screening and the role of the healthcare provider.
TARGET AUDIENCE: The program was developed to educate Internists and Primary Care Practitioners on evidence-based practices for recommending lung screening.
