Community Outreach Coordinator

Introducing Laura Williams as our Community Outreach Coordinator as a new board appointed position.  The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating community events and for the recruitment of committee members to assist in the coordination of such events.  Our goal is to work collaboratively with our members to identify and participate in events that build the presence and the visibility of advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) in the community. We also want to make this enjoyable as we reach out and give back to the community.  I am looking for 4 dedicated people to assist with the research and coordination of these events.

Based on feedback (from our members) the board has identified these areas to start with:

• At-risk youth (school supply drive/tutoring)
• Homeless outreach/assessment 

 Walks/runs fundraisers possible:

• Alzheimer’s walk 
• American cancer society/Breast cancer 
• Juvenile Diabetes walk  As committee members, you will have access to all south meetings as we will meet before each meeting every month. If you are interested, please contact Laura Williams at Cawo1142@gmail.com.
