Hello to all,

Service is an integral part of what we do; we give in so many ways.

Here is the group that TBAPNC has adopted: New Beginnings of Tampa at 1402 E. CHILKOOT Ave.;

813-971-6961.

There is a motto on the outside sign "A hand up, not a handout." They provide hunger relief, emergency shelter, transitional housing, employment services, and youth mentoring.

I have communicated with several employees there, who have shared details of their lives. John was homeless, rehabbed, and was rescued there and has stayed ever since to work. It is for men only, it is for homeless individuals who have had issues with drugs and alcohol. They cannot be in withdrawal, if they are medically unstable they are sent to the crisis center such as Gracepoint until recovered. There is no time limit stay. It is divided into two sides: veterans and civilians.

He stated that they are drowning in socks and sanitizers, but most desperately need the following items:

Shaving supplies and bed linens.

Toiletries, toilet paper, clothes, toothbrushes, and bed linens of any kind any size any color is welcome.

If you have men's clothing of any size, that would also be appreciated.

Monetary donations are 100% directly used towards providing critical services to the poor and disadvantaged.

Collect all those small hotel bottles you have brought home and bring them to me! Please continue to collect them as we start to (HOPEFULLY) travel again.
