Human Trafficking Awareness Month
Posted 16 days ago by Charrita Ernewein
Human trafficking is a well-hidden, booming industry in America. It thrives because there is a serious demand for commercial sex with adults and minors. Every day in America, children and adults are being bought and sold for sex and labor, and they are waiting for you to notice. But would you know it if you saw it…( Shared Hope International).
Human Trafficking includes sex, labor, and organ trafficking.
The sex trafficking industry is fueled by buyers who pay traffickers to supply victims to meet their demands. Men, women, and children from a wide variety of backgrounds are victimized through sex trafficking. Vulnerability factors that make individuals more susceptible to trafficking include low self-esteem, being abused or neglected, poverty, homelessness, being in the foster care system, and identifying as LGBT.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, Aka #WearBlueDay.
Waiting For You To Notice " Human Trafficking"
