Greetings to all members. Nurse Practitioner week is around the corner, Governor DeSantis has issued his proclamation, and we are kicking off that celebration with a gathering at Maggiano's!!! It is completely sponsored by your Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Chapter. If you have not registered for the November 8th gathering, there are a few seats left. Our cut off is 60 attendees and we hope to see you there.
Part of our celebration this night will be to honor our professionalism by giving back. New Beginnings of Tampa is our ongoing service project and this is your opportunity to share some of the blessings that we have received all year.
In addition to an abundance of great food, networking, libations and a few surprises, there will be a fundraising raffle. Multiple items and baskets have been donated by members (I thank you all!) and 100% of the proceedings will be passed on. Please be generous, bring your cash as we will not have a credit card option; one ticket for five dollars or five tickets for 20. Try to win a Dr Loretta Ford item, a Glam bag, beauty treatments or baskets with adult beverages!!!!!!
We are also collecting any donations that you care to bring for this homeless shelter that saves, shelters and nurtures souls back into the mainstream. Enclosed is the Christmas wish list which now includes items for female residents. Please bring me all those hotel toiletries that you may have squirreled away in your drawers never to be used! They are perfect for New Beginnings. Director John Kline was saved more than 30 years ago and he has stayed ever since to give back. He has a wonderful little sign on his bulletin board and I have included a picture of that; as well as one of him accepting donations.
We look forward to celebrating with you.
Regards, Jan
